It's been a good month since I ( Matt ) have ventured out In search of Carp, I've been angling for another species during that time on the River Severn In search of Barbel

I'm pleased to say I have enjoyed some good sport too, Nothing big has graced the net what ever the size? their all welcome!

It's been nice to experience a change of angling but my heart and passion will always remain with Carp angling and when the chance came to wet a few lines In search of One I grabbed It with both hands

I'm out again on this session with good friend and long time angling companion ( Marc ), This will be his last session for a good few weeks as he Jets off to the sun next week for his family holiday and will return to a million and one things to do around the home as well as work so you can Imagine were both hoping the Carp are up for a munch and we put One or Two on the bank?

We've arrived at the venue late afternoon with the sun out In force, Location was easy as we began our lap around the lake, We found a load of fish a better description would probably be '' It was Black with them '' Rods and rigs prepped at home all that needed doing was to mount baits on the hair and place our baits In the pond

I ( Matt ) targeted Two areas, The first being a margin spot and the other to a snaggy area Just off the Island, On the margin spot I'm feeding my ( Salmon and Oyster ) bottom baits and using a ( CM1 ) snowman presentation, The snaggy spot will be presenting a ( Key ) snowman presentation fished over the                        (  4G Squid )

It didn't take long before the rod melted off, During the duration of the session I managed to capture Two from that spot the Carp pictured below was the biggest of the Two

No sooner had I returned the second capture my snag rod screamed off, This rod went on to be the most productive rod of the session capturing Five and losing Two

The Carp pictured below was the biggest from that spot

It's been great to be back out sitting behind the rods and enjoying the buzz that Is Carp Fishing

It's back on the River next few week? Taking the Carping approach In the quest for yet more whiskers

Until the next blog thanks for reading Tight Lines and Happy Angling
