With the nights drawing In this will be our last but one short session In ( 2014 ), With the limited time available to go angling our short sessions would be even shorter

Saying this we still have our annual week In France to look forward to and It's just around the corner, The bait prep started early last week, Our decision was made after a long discussion to take our ( CM2 ) bottom baits for two rods as well as Angling Directs ( Tangee Terror ) on the other

So then on with the session for the first time In a long time the lake was busy when we arrived just after 3.30pm and choice of swims were very limited to choose from,  With a strong wind and a warm one at that myself ( Matt ) and ( Marc ) found two swims right Into the teeth of It

We did not see any tell tail signs and we both went with our gut Instinct and thought this would be our best option, By 4.15pm we were both angling and things got off to a slow start It had to be said signs of carp In the area were hard to spot with the wind causing a ripple on the surface of the water

As we sat, waited and drunk plenty of coffee we spoke to one or two anglers who were leaving and had been present since first light, Indications were that the lake was fishing hard today one of them bagging a small carp and his friend blanking

Around about 6.30pm? and out of the blue ( Marc's ) right hand rod sprung Into life which was attached to one of the lakes stockies, No action suddenly turned Into frantic action as no sooner had ( Marc ) returned his first capture another rod was away attached to a common of the same size

It looked like the carp had finally got on to the wind which got stronger and stronger throughout the session, Finally It was my turn to grab some of the action as I slipped the net under this lovely mid double common

After returning my prize I respotted all three rods and topped up the spots with some more free offerings, I made a slight bait change to the rod which was presenting a ( Tangee Terror ) snowman by replacing a pink fluro pop up to a yellow one I do like to chop and change colours sometimes during a session

Was It fate? did the bait change make a differance? no sooner had I respotted the rods the
( Tangee Terror ) one was away and from the slow lethargic plodding style In the fight I knew this one was a better fish, Better It was after a short but spirited battle I slipped the net under the biggest fish of the session and the biggest fish to date caught on a ( Tangee Terror ) boilie, Weighing In at 25lb 9oz I was delighted
