To Be Angling On A Weekend Is Very Rare Indeed For Myself ( Matt ) And ( Marc ) But With A Very Busy Week Ahead For Both Of Us, Today Was The Only Chance For Us To Wet A Line.

We Were Expecting The Lake To Be Busy, And Arriving Late Afternoon Our Thoughts Were Proven Correct It Was Busy With Five Anglers Present, The Swims Which Have Been Producing Some Excellent Results Over Recent Weeks Were Taken, After A Walk Around The Venue We Found Two Swims Available At The Far End Of The Lake, A New Wind Had Arrived On Saturday And It Was Hacking From The Bottom End Of The Lake Right Into The Teeth Of Both Of These Swims, After A Quick Scout Across The Volume Of Water Which Lay In Front Of These Swims Myself And ( Marc ) Spotted Up To Four Shows, Our Minds Were Made Up So We Headed Back To The Van To Pick Up The Gear And Headed Back To Set Up And Start Angling.

Around ( 4.15pm ) We Were Both Angling, Same Tactics And Approach Again ( CM2 ) Bottom Baits And        ( Fresh Orange ) Pop Up's Presented Snowman Style, Complemented With Small PVA Bags Of Chopped Boilie Fished Over A Small Amount Of Free Offerings.

Within Minutes ( Marc ) Opened His Account With A Carp We Have Called The Mug, Reason Being It Has Graced The Bank Now Three Times In The Last Seven Weeks, With ( Marc ) Bagging It First Time Around On Our First Session Of ( 2014 )

The Rod Could Not Of Been Back On The Spot For More Than Twenty Minutes? When It Was Away Again And This Time ( Marc ) Slipped The Net Under One Of The Lakes Mirrors, Only Small But The Scale Pattern Was Something Else.

In ( Matt's ) Swim The Signs Were There And I Knew I Also Had Carp Present But They Were Not Playing Ball And Eating Everything On The Menu Like They Were In ( Marc's ) Swim, But If There Is One Thing I Have Learned Over The Years I Have Been A Carp Angler And That Is Never To Stop Trying, Keep Plugging Away And Try To Make Something Happen, And I'm Delighted To Say Something Did Happen And I Slipped The Net Under A Simply Stunning Carp.
