A real mixed bag of weather has greeted most parts of the UK over the weekend, and today ( monday ) was no different, early morning the sun was high and the sky was blue, around ( 10.00 am ) an all mighty storm arrived bringing the dreaded lightening

Arriving at the lake around ( 3.30pm ) the storm had long passed over and very high temperatures were present, humid more than anything the swims felt like a sauna

I ( Matt ) being honest was In no rush to get the rods In position with conditions being the way they were, but ( Marc ) on the other hand being the keen angler that he Is had all three rods In position and baited up within forty five minutes

One hour later he'd bagged three fish, a quick bite from a margin spot produced a very small and tatty looking common and shortly after that his middle rod produced a nice upper double common to complete the brace

The still below Is the biggest capture from ( Marc's ) early brace

What a great start for ( Marc ) and with his early success I ( Matt ) stepped things up a gear and got my rods out

Where both angling now and sitting back and enjoying the first coffee of the session, and no sooner had       ( Marc ) returned his last capture his session was to get even better by bagging his biggest of the evening so far In the way of a stunning common which was just a shade under 28lb, we are pretty sure this capture Is a re capture which ( Marc ) caught amazingly just three weeks ago

MINTER OF A COMMON

That's four fish now for ( Marc ) and the sun Is still beating down and the heat Is relentless, prior to this session the previous two have been quite moody ones, all change tonight there having It

( Matt ) got off the mark by bagging two small commons around about ( 7.00 PM ) In similar fashion to           ( Marc ) having two bites In quick Succession , But this was turning out to be ( Marc's ) evening and a red letter one at that, the better fish were starting to emerge and his next capture ended up being the biggest of the session, were pretty sure this was another re capture another lovely looking carp which pulled the scales around to one ounce under Thirty pounds

BIGGEST OF THE SESSION

( Marc ) had a smile on his face like that of a cheshire cat and who could blame him? when moments like these come along In carp fishing milk It!

We fished on right up until dusk finishing off with a very healthy tally of captures

( Marc ) 9 Carp , Lost 1

( Matt ) 4 Carp

Fingers crossed we can do It all again next week, until then thanks for reading
