Monday arrives again and It's short session time again, We've been targeting carp on these short sessions now for quite a few years and the buzz we both get ( Matt ) and ( Marc ) Is as strong as ever and our excitement has to be contained as the clock ticks closer to angling time

Arriving at the waters edge we find only one other angler present and their are plenty of free swims to explore before making our decision were to set up camp, Last week a large number of carp were situated In the snaggy areas, This week their were carp every where, Marginal areas and at range It was black with them

The swims we chose were the two swims we have done most of our sessions In this year, For two reasons really, The numbers of fish In the area and secondly It was close to the van

Normal baits And tactics for ( Marc ), ( Matt ) made one change and that was switching from the hinge stiff rig to a naked chod rig, all presentations were cast to the normal spots and Just after ( 5.00 pm ) we were both angling

( Marc ) spotted some fish quite early Into this weeks session In the marginal areas and quickly bagged himself one of the lakes upper doubles, ( Matt ) shortly after also opened his account with a common of the same size, about two hours Into the session and that's when the action really started to gather pace,    ( Matt ) was experiencing a serious amount of liners on the middle rod which was presenting the naked chod rig over a large bed of ( Coconut Cream ) bottom baits when It finally melted off and resulted In by far the best carp for at least five weeks

( Matt ) was delighted with this capture, The last four or five weeks has been really tough going and we've had to work very hard Indeed for bites with only small carp being rewarded for our efforts, This carp was In great condition what a specimen

( Marc ) went on to bag another small common and so did ( Matt ), Just before dusk fell things looked really good for another bite and I think If we were angling over night we really would of been In for some action the lake looked superb, That final bite did arrive I'm pleased to say and ( Matt ) captured a real old warrior and the second biggest capture of the session
