Since Last Weeks Session I ( Matt ) Have Been On A Real High After Enjoying Such An Enjoyable Session, Capped Off By A Stunning Common Of 26lb

It's My Biggest Carp Of The Year So Far, And A Real Delight To Bank A Decent Sized Carp So Early On Into The New Year

Right Then A New Week And Myself And Good Friend ( Marc ) Are Back Out Again In Search Of More Carp As We Begin Another Short Session, The Conditions Through Out The Day Looked Perfect, Over Cast And Very Warm, But Shortly After Arrival The Clouds Parted And The Sunshine Broke Through Typical

There Were Two Other Anglers Present, But I'm Pleased To Say Again The Swims That Me And                  ( Marc ) Have Been Fishing For The Past Five Weeks Were Available Again So Without Hesitation We Jumped Straight Into Them And Began To Tackle Up

Normal Tactics And Presentations Were Applied And By ( 5.15 pm ) We Were Both Angling, With The Sunlight Increasing Through Out The Afternoon It Wasn't Long Before We Saw Signs Of Carp In The Upper Layers And On The Surface, Talking Of The Surface We Both Had A Real Job On Our Hands This Evening To Sink The Mainline And Get A Good Line Lay, Debris And Vegetation From The Surrounding Trees Had Settled On The Surface In Great Volume Through Out The Week, We Both Did Our Best To Combat This But It Was A Struggle!

If You Read Last Weeks Blog? You Would Of Read About ( Marc's ) Quick Start, But This Week Things Took A While To Gather Pace, By ( 6.30 pm ) ( Matt's ) Left Hand Rod Was Away And A Really Superb Conditioned Common Kicked Of The Session, We Never Weighed It Easily An Upper Double

MATT'S FIRST OF THE SESSION

Like All Our Captures My Prize Was Checked Over Before I Returned It To It's Watery Home, I Noticed A Slight Tare In It's Mouth So A Few Drops Of Kryston's Klinik Was Applied And Then Back It Went, Carp Care Is Essential!

CARP CARE

A Great Start Rod Back On The Spot, A Few Free Offerings And Were Fishing Again

Ten Possibly Fifteen Minutes Later? The Same Rod Was Away Again, A Real Boil On The Surface And The Carp Lept Out Of The Water Like A Salmon, This Was Clearly A Better Fish And A Better Fish It Was, Capture Number Two Soon Hit The Net And This One Just Scrapped Twenty Pound

A Real Wood Carving Of A Common

CAPTURE NUMBER TWO

That's Four Twenty's In Five Sessions I Could Not Of Wished For A Better Start To This Years Campaign

Here's Proof That The Previous Two Captures Have Been Enjoying My Free Offerings

EASILY DIGESTIBLE

I Stepped Up My Baiting Approach And Increased The Free Offerings, The More I Put In The Quicker The Action, Soon After Returning Capture Number Two I Had Another, I Did Not Photograph That One As I Was Eager To Get The Rod Back Into Position And Amazingly Minutes Later I Banked Number Four

CAPTURE NUMBER FOUR

Picture
This Capture Was A Shade Under Twenty Pound And The Second Biggest Capture Of The Session

The Action Slowed Down For The Next Thirty Or So Minutes But ( Marc ) Did Manage To Save A Blank By Netting A Small Common

With Dusk Approaching It Was As If Someone One Had Flicked A Switch, And The Spot Which I Had Been Enjoying All My Action From Sprung Into Life Once Again I Bagged Two More With This One Being The Eighth And Last Fish Of A Very Productive Session

CAPTURE NUMBER EIGHT

Picture
A Superb Evenings Angling And My Most Productive Session Of The Year So Far

HAPPY ANGLING And TIGHT LINES
                                                                               Matt
