Another Bank Holiday Has Arrived And Myself ( Matt ) And ( Marc ) Are Both Fortunate To Be Doing What We Live For And That's Wetting A Line And Angling For Carp

The Majority Of The Country Over The Weekend Have Been Experiencing Some Very Wet Weather And We Were No Different, A Slight Improvement Today And When We Arrived At The Venue This Afternoon The Sun Was High And It Was Very Warm Indeed

As The Session Got Underway The Grey Clouds Arrived And The Mood Changed To Overcast One, It Threatened To Rain Quite A Few Times, It Did But We Only Experienced A Light Shower

Their Were A Few Other Anglers Dotted Around The Lake, And To Our Amazement The Two Swims Which We Both Have Been Angling From All Campaign Were Vacant So With Out Hesitation The Unloading Of The Van Began And We Jumped Into The Swims And Another Short Session Began

Just For The Record We Both Ventured Out Last Week, But Caught Nothing Of Any Size The Captures Were All On The Rough Side After A Weekend Of Spawning, So Our Thinking This Week With Them Getting The Deed Out Of The Way Last Weekend The Lakes Residents Would Be In The Mood Again For Some Grub?

Their Were Plenty Of Carp In The Upper Layers Doing Laps Around The Lake And This Continued For The Duration Of The Session, But In The Feeding Mood They Were Not, Speaking To A Few Anglers On Their Departure Who Had Been Present Since First Light It Was Clear It Was Tough Going, But You Have To Be In It To Win It And You Can't Catch Them Sitting At Home Watching The Box

( Marc ) As Always Was Working His Socks Off To Make Something Happen Even More So This Evening With The Carp Being In Almost Relaxed Mood And Happy Just To Gently Cruise Across The Surface

It Was Around ( 6.30pm ) When I Made The Decision To Respot My Rods, The Right And Middle Rods Were Back On Their Spots With Just The Left Hander To Do, I Tied Up A Fresh PVA Bag Of Chopped        ( CM2 ) Boilies And Reeled In The Rod Ready To Respot

Back In The Water I Gave This Rod A Real Good Hit Of Free Offerings Then Sunk The Line, Clipped The Back Lead On And Sorted The Rod, Next Job Was To Pop The Kettle On I Began To Fill It Up And Make Myself A Delicious Hot Coffee To Enjoy When The Left Hand Rod Melted Off And I Mean Melted Off
ONE TONER.....................

Tip Hung Over And What Was Attached Was Plodding, This Is A Good One ( Marc ) Said And A Good One It Was. The Picture Below Says It All

STUNNING MIRROR

What A Fabulous Carp, I Had A Decent Sized Mirror Last Year And When I Returned Home Later In The Evening  By Looking Through My Stills I Confirmed That It Is Not The Same Carp Which Is Nice, Also It Cancels Out That Thought Of It Being The Same Fish And It's Lost Weight As The Capture Back In             ( 2013 ) Was A Mid Twenty, This Fish Is Clearly Spawned Out Come Mid Summer Early Autumn It Will Easily Go Twenty Two / Twenty Three Pound? In My Opinion The Weights Not The Issue The Pleasure Of Catching Such An Awesome Creature Ticks All The Boxes For Me '' DELIGHTED ''

Also On Such A Tough Session It Makes It Even More Rewarding And My Efforts Have Paid Off

Until The Next Blog Thanks Again All Reading This

TIGHT LINES And HAPPY ANGLING
