DAY SESSION MONDAY 21st OCTOBER ( 2013 )

10/22/2013

Last Monday It Rained And This Monday Was No Different.

Me ( Matt ) And Close Friend And Fishing Buddy ( Marc Copson ) Are Bank Side Yet Again For Another Autumn Day Session, Arriving At The Lake I Must Admit I Was Surprised To See An Angler Already Present And With The Monsoon Type Conditions I Didn't Think There Was Anybody Else As Mad As Us To Venture Out On A Day Like Today And We Later Found Out That He Had Done The Night So Hats Off To Him.

He Was Situated In The Double Swim Myself And ( Marc ) Had Been Doing Most Of Our Angling From This Year So That Swim Was Obviously Not An Option Today, After A Good Look Around Location Was Not A Problem And Certainly In The First Few Hours Of Day Light There Were Carp Rolling Every Where After A Short Debate We Decided On Our Swims And Attempted To Set Up As Quickly And Efficiently In The Pouring Rain.

Just After 8.00 AM And We Were Both Angling, In My Swim ( Matt ) I'm Fishing At Very Short Range Indeed To Give You A Better Idea I'd Say All Of My Rods Which Were Fanned Out Were Spotted Roughly Five Rod Lengths From The Bank, Two Rods Presenting ( CM1 ) Snowman Presentations And My Right Hand Rod Presenting The New Bait ( CM2 ) All Complemented With Small Mesh Bags ( PVA ) Of Chopped Boilie.

With In Minutes I Was Experiencing Liners Most Of Them On The Middle Rod And By 8.15 AM That Rod Was Away And I'd Banked The First Of The Session In The Way Of A Small Common '' QUICK ACTION ''

London Buses Is The Best Way To Explain The Next Three Hours Bagging Four Fish Two Bites A Piece From My Middle And Left Hand Rod The Spots Were Proper Rocking!!!

I Must Add My Reasoning For Fishing At This Range Was All Down To Some Success I Had On These Spots From This Swim Earlier This Year And So Far Today They Are Producing The Goods.

Not Forgetting ( Marc ) Who Was Fishing To My Right He'd Kept Me Updated On His Progress Via Text Message And Had Also Bagged An Early Capture But Sadly Lost One.

I Popped Up Briefly And It Was A Flying Visit To Deliver Breakfast As My Swim Was Still Looking Good For More Action .

So I'm Back In My Swim ( Matt ) And The Kettles On It's Teaming It Down And I'm Watching The Water For Signs Underneath My Profile X Brolly When Out Of The Blue And This One Was A Proper Zipper Or As Me And ( Marc ) Call Them A Jack The ' RIPPER ' The Middle Rods Melted Off Again And On Picking Up The Rod And Making Contact This Ones A Better One!

And A Better One It Was Today's Just Getting Better And Better

THE BIGGEST OF THE SESSION '' 23LB 5OZ ''

Most Carp Anglers Would Like To Mix And Match Their Captures Today Has Been All Commons And That's Fine With Me As I Adore Them This One Was In Great Condition Delighted!

( Marc's ) Been On The Blower And He's On The Move After Losing Fish Number Two He's Had No More Action No Signs Nothing So He's Decided To Jump Into To The Now Now On My Left, Here's Hoping There's A Few Down That End Also Mate I Said.

Another Thing I Wish To Say In This Blog Is Another Mention Regards ( Marc ) I Think I Mentioned It In Last Weeks? But If I Didn't? I'll Refresh Your Memory's ( Marc ) Is Yet To Blank This Season Yes You Did Read That Right And With Today's Early Capture He's Completed A Fine Achievement As Today Is His Last Session Of The Year.

Most Of ( Marc's ) Angling Is Based On Short Session Fishing, With The Clocks Changing At The W'end And The Days Becoming Shorter This Will No Longer Be Possible For ( Marc ) To Do, Also With A Young Family And Work Commitments Winter Fishing Is Also A Non Starter, He May Get The Odd Day Over The Christmas Period To Wet A Line? But That's Not Always Concrete So Again Congratulations Mate You Have Had A Great Season!

But The Day Was Not Over And There Was Plenty Of Time Left After ( Marc ) Had Moved For One More Surprise, But I'll Leave The Video Supplement Which Is At The Bottom Of This Blog To Tell That Story.

Until The Next Blog, Thanks For Reading
