Well What A Difference 7 Days Can Make In The Last Session Myself And ( Marc ) Where Enjoying A Very Warm Day With Highs Of 18 But Today We Will Be Lucky To See 10 Followed By Rain, Rain And More Rain.

Most Of The UK Have Been Experiencing Large Volumes Of Rain Since Last Wednesday But It's Not All Doom And Gloom As Myself And ( Marc ) Quite Enjoying These Type Of Conditions And Have Had Some Excellent Angling In Them Over The Years.

We Arrived At The Lake This Week Just After 6.30 AM And Mother Nature Was Quite Kind At That Time Of The Morning Allowing Us Both To Set Up In Dry Conditions.

The Lake Looked Stunning Today And There Were Carp Rolling Every Where Most Shows Were Spotted In The Marginal Areas Once Again Were In The Same Swim As Last Week And Both Had A Margin To Fish To So With All This Activity They Were The First Rods To Go Out.

NEW BAIT

Through Out My Blogs This Year You Will Have Read About The ( CM1 ) Boilie Which I Have Been Using And Introducing Since March Of This Year My Results Both Here And Over Seas Have Been Excellent But Sadly This Boilie Would No Longer Continue To Produce Through The Colder Months Due To Some Of It's Ingredients So A Tweak Was Needed And Out Have Gone The Summer Ingredients And I Have Replaced Them With Ingredients Which I Know Will Be Suitable For Winter

THE SESSION

All Rods Were In The Pond By Around 8.00 AM? And As I Previously Mentioned There Were Carp Rolling Every Where And We Were Both Very Confident Of Some Quick Action The Marginal Areas Where The Spots Most Carp Where Showing And My Marginal Spot ( Matt ) Was The One Presenting The New Bait   ( CM2 )

My Other Two Rods Were In Open Water Spots Using The ( CM1 ) Incidentally The ( CM1 ) Is Still Fine To Use Through Out Autumn I Just Thought Today Would It Be Worth Testing The ( CM2 )

( Marc's ) Margin Spot Was Very Close To A Snag And He Had No Option But To Fish That Rod Locked Up And Sit Centre Meters Away From The Rod You Guessed It That Was The First Rod To Go Today And With In Seconds The Carp Got Him Into The Snag Which Sadly Resulted In ( Marc ) Getting Cut And Losing The Fish.

It Felt Like A Good Fish ( Marc ) Said They Always Do When You Lose Them Mate.

Shortly After The Early Excitement The Rain Arrived And Boy Did It Rain Brolly Bound Was All We Could Do Either That Or Get Soaked To The Skin I ( Matt ) Sat Watching The Water And The Rain Drops Falling Whilst Slurping On The First Coffee Of The Session When The Bobbin / Delkim On My Middle Rod Burst Into Action.

I Was Out From Under Neath The Brolly In A Flash But Was Soon Filled With Disappointment As After Latching Into The Rod / Bite The Sharp Tapping From The Rod Tip Indicated My Prize A '' BREAM. ''

It Was Just Under A Pound In Weight And Had Nailed A 16MM Bottom Bait And 12MM Pop Up GREEDY!!!

I Waited For The Rain To Ease Slightly Then Re Spotted The Rod Doing Me Best To Get The Small PVA Bag Containing Chopped Boilie Out On The Spot Before Melting On The Bank Heavy Rain And PVA Is One Big Night Mare.

LATE AFTERNOON

After The Small Bream Then Enjoying A Lovely Bacon Butty It Wasn't Until 2.30 PM When The Next Next Action Came Along.

It Was All About ( Marc ) From Then On When This Time One Of His Rods Fished In An Open Water Spot Screamed Off The Capture Below Went On To Be The Biggest Of Three On The Day.

The Capture ( Pictured  Below ) Was Caught On The ( CM1 ) But I'm Delighted To Say His Third Capture Of The Session Was Banked On The New Bait ( CM2 )

The Other Two Captures Are Shown In The Video Supplement Which Is Attached To This Blog And Posted Towards The Bottom Of This Page.

Over All A Quite Challenging Session For Me ( Matt ) But All Credit To ( Marc ) Who Worked Very Hard In His Angling Today And Got Some Decent Results.

I'm Pleased To Say We Are Both Doing It All Again Next Monday So Until Then

TIGHT LINES AND HAPPY ANGLING
