November.....

The updates posted in this blog detail my angling adventures throughout the year

and this update is focused on the later stages of the Summer (2021) on my new Club lake

I've been introducing my ever faithful Scopex Squid into this venue since late March,
and I've been increasing the volume I introduce steadily as the months go by

during June, July and August I was introducing at least 5kg a week, that may not seem a lot to some of you reading this update? but based on two short sessions a week that works out to 20kg a month

after netting my first capture back in March and when Spring eventually decided to arrive I managed to nick the odd fish, but as soon as the temperature increased and I began to introduce more bait, my catch rate began to improve

by mid June the carp in this venue were really getting their heads down on it, I was introducing my bait into various areas of the lake I must add and for very good reason

not that I like to have a swim in mind before arriving at the venue, but if their is an area that I particularly fancy and it's occupied, I have other options knowing my next choice of swim has received some free offerings before hand

the other factor is by spreading a bait around a venue gets the carp moving about with the hope they eventually start looking for it

even during the peak of the Summer and whilst fishing a session when the temperature hit a barmy thirty plus degrees did the carp oblige

every capture that session left my unhooking mat in a right state covered in Scopex Squid excrement, that was another sign which told me they were having it

below is a gallery of some more of my captures, some of them being the lakes better fish

Next month I'll wrap up my CM Angling 2021 blog for the year

until then as always thanks for reading

tight lines and happy angling
