For the purpose of everybody reading this blog, these articles don't necessary correspond with the month titled at the top of the page, after addressing that let's crack on
June has arrived and with it so has the weather, temperatures have rocketed and the UK is experiencing a heatwave
far from ideal angling conditions but that did not deter yours truly
temperatures where averaging between 28/30 degrees, I didn't fancy sitting in that all day, so I decided to visit my new Club lake from late afternoon and fish up until dusk
the floater rod was packed into the car but being honest with you I'm not a great fan of surface fishing, I'd rather catch a carp off the bottom any day of the week
the barmy temperatures had certainly deterred some of the other members, for the majority of June I angled alone or with very few others
Billy no mates.....
Being honest I thought the up and coming sessions were going to be a struggle, as you can imagine on arrival the carp were easy to find
their was plenty enjoying the sunshine and cruising on the surface
I had the pick of the swims to choose from due to the lack of angling pressure, and my thinking was to choose a swim which contained the bulk of the carp in it regardless if they were on the surface
I had to wait until around 7/8pm but I'm pleased to say the carp responded to my weekly angling approach
I even went onto capture one of the lakes rare mirrors as well as some more bars of gold
The pick of this months captures.....
For the purpose of anybody reading this blog who isn't familiar with my favoured presentation? that I call the Twisted Multi Rig
simply view the picture below
The Twisted Multi Rig.....
The Multi Rig tied as standard don't get me wrong is very effective, but by adding shrink tubing and over shotting the pop up IMO it turns from an effective presentation to a devastating presentation
I simply couldn't put a figure on as to how many carp the Twisted Multi Rig has caught me in the UK and in France over the years?
maybe during the Winter I'll write more in depth regards carp rigs?
until Septembers update
as always thanks for reading tight lines and happy angling
