AN EVENING WITH ADAM PENNING

Friday ( 18. 7. 14 ) Myself ( Matt ) and good friend ( Nick Rudge ) have hit the road early afternoon and are heading to Stoke and the florence social club for an evening of carpy chat with Sticky Baits backed top rod ( Adam Penning )



This Is an all ticket affair which ( Nick ) managed to purchase back In april, Like many others I have seen plenty of TV which Adam has appeared In such as Thinking Tackle and Carp Crew to name a few, So when  ( Nick ) telephoned me to say there was an evening arranged were ( Adam ) will be doing a presentation of his angling adventures as you can Imagine I was delighted to hear this so ( Nick ) did the business and purchased a pair of tickets

TICKET

We had a pig of a journey In very warm conditions trying to battle the Friday rush hour traffic but we succeeded and arrived at the venue just before ( 5.00 pm )



After some light refreshment In the local watering hole and filling the gap with some fish and chips, We entered the social club and took a look around the small amount of trade stands which had been Invited to take part In the evening

CUSTOM ANGLING 

After a quick look around and talking to one or two of the lads on the trade stands we then both entered the main room were ( Adam's ) talk was going to take place, We found some decent seats grabbed a drink and waited for the talk to kick off, compare for the evening was ( Ian Macmillan )

MAIN ROOM 

( Adam ) kicked things off around about ( 7.45 / 8.00 pm ) ? The talk was to be In two parts starting with his time on a very famous water Indeed and Wraysbury



( Adam ) Is a master of presentation and telling a story and boy was this a story, The only way to describe the feeling I got from listening to him speak was I felt like I was their, In the next swim the entire experience was gripping looking around the room many others were In a trance too and enjoying every word that was mentioned as ( Adam ) took us all around this Iconic water and told us all of his adventures In search of the residents of big bad Wraysbury 

WRAYSBURY

After another refreshment break ( Adam ) kicked Part two off with a talk on yet another Iconic water this time across the pond and In France and Lac de Saint Cassien, This slide show was a lot shorter but was just as enjoyable, Some of Adams photography I must say In both his talks was stunning he Is very handy with a camera

CASSIEN 

( 11.00 PM ) and a very enjoyable evening had come to an end, all that was left to do was for ( Ian ) to begin proceedings with the raffle which had some excellent prizes and was all In aid of an excellent cause helping people with Motor neurone disease, I'm delighted to say every ticket was sold and a hefty amount of money was raised

By ( 11.30 PM ) we were both back on the road and headed for home, Thankyou ( Adam ) for a superb and enjoyable evening, And also to my good friend ( Nick ) on getting the tickets
