A DECEMBER WINTER SESSION

No angling for nearly two months then two sessions In as many days, Fresh from the bankside of Drayton I ( Matt ) and good friend ( Marc ) are heading to a local still water In search of a winter Carp or two



Another early start and we both arrived at our chosen venue Just as the dawn was breaking, Their was not a sole to be seen and to our amazement we had the venue to ourselves for the duration of our stay




After a good scout around looking at various swims we both chose an area of the lake we had both enjoyed success from back In the winter of ( 2013), The Carp looked to be very active Indeed seeing numerous shows as we were tackling up 

SWIM CHOICE

Presentations for the day ahead were the two I ( Matt ) use In all of my angling, On the left hand rod I was using the ever faithful snowman rig complemented with a small bag of boilie crumb and chopped boilie, The right hand rod was presenting a naked chod rig the perfect presentation to move around and cast to showing fish



Rods out and we were angling, It did not take long at all to see any action and ( Marc ) was the first to experience a wet net bagging this old warrior of a Common which went on to be the biggest capture of the day

THE BIGGEST OF THE SESSION

After losing one at the net not long after ( Marc ) had returned his capture I ( Matt ) enjoyed a piece of the action bagging this lovely scaley Mirror which went on to be my biggest of the day

We continued angling on until dusk enjoying plenty of sport through out the day
